Went to Den Bosch today to the Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis. As hospitals go, this is a nice one: nice building, nice doctors, and a nice “coffee corner” with a very impressive menu. I guess the “Southern Mentality” really shows here: a “bourgondisch” way of life, where enjoying life (e.g. food) is not considered a sin (Catholic vs. Calvinist mentality).
The only problem with this hospital is that the orthopaedic secretary is almost impossible to reach by phone…
Afterwards, we had a brief walk around the city center, including of course the Sint Jan cathedral, which happened to be colder inside than outside
I also took some pictures, and before returning home, we brought some Bossche Bollen (see picture above) from Jan de Groot’s (apparently famous) bakery
